Am I Cool Enough For These?

In the fashion world, there is always some new must-see jewelry line that has everyone all abuzz.  I normally don't take much notice, but this new line called Mr. Kate is so exceptional, I *know* I will be picking up a couple pieces.  The Mr. Kate website is a fun, interactive blog - covering everything from interior design to some scrumptious looking recipes and is the brain child of actress Kate Albrecht.    But what really has me hooked is the jewelry.   It's affordable and truly unique and I don't think I can go another week without owning an ear cuff.  And maybe some necklaces and bracelets, because they just look soooo good stacked and layered.

Snake Charmer

I've loved a good piece of snake jewelry for as long as I can remember.  There's something sexy, retro, and playful about a jeweled little snake wrapped around your wrist or arm.  I found this bracelet from Aurelie Bidermann and wanted it instantly.  It's the perfect spring and summer accessory and would be just the thing to add some sex appeal to a simple bright tank and cut-off shorts.

Artfully Autumn

I've been talking about these darn YSL Arty rings for way too long.  When I first found them, I was in LOVE, no questions asked, give me two in every color.   Then everyone started wearing them.   And I of course lost interest.  But *true love* doesn't falter, and I still can't get these gorgeous rings out of my mind.   This fall they've been revamped  and corals and turquoises and being replaced with ambers and golds, and my decision on what style/color I should get has gotten that much more difficult.

Necklaces are to ensembles as deserts are to dinners - you don't need them, but when done right they can take things from ordinary to extraordinary.    When I saw the first picture below, I loved how it took a seemingly preppy, bland look, to glamorous and youthful.  I am a big fan of statement necklaces, and try to transform outfits the same way.   What's your favorite way to wear a necklace?
