Let's Shop Leif

On Pinterest the other evening I happened to stumble across some amazingly cute little jars.  Upon further investigation, I was lead to the Shop Leif website, and let's just say, I'm really in love.  Providing everything from jewelry to, paintings, to tea towels, I've developed quite the wish list.  I'm especially loving the earrings and rings - the rough cut stones in claw-like settings are beyond pretty in a natural and earthy way that is perfection.  Also this stuff is unique - and I'm thinking this website will be my new go-to for finding birthday gifts for girlfriends.

Adult Blankies

I'm a sucker for things that are multi-functional.   Really using an item, getting to know it, and creating memories with it, is something that we all do and why we have our favorite things.  Enter the fouta - the latest item on my want-list.  Foutas are basically blankets for adults.  They are gorgeous little linens that can be used as throws, towels, and even table cloths.  They get softer the more you wash them and are the sort of thing a person could really get to know.  I only recently discovered them and am about ready to order one in a pretty light blue and white.  Anyone else out there a fouta fan?

Easter Sunday

Hope that all my readers who celebrated Easter had a wonderful day! (And those that didn't enjoyed the gorgeous weather!)  This was the first holiday my family has celebrated in their new house and it's safe to say that it's really starting to feel like home.  Below are some pictures I snapped of the day.

Where I Hang My Handbags

The Winter Wonderland that welcomed me home from my cruise on April 18. Yes, April.

Being gone for the past ten days has been wonderful, and to be honest, I had been dreading coming back to the dreary midwest (I was welcomed with 2 inches of snow.)   But it wasn't until I actually got home that I realized how much I missed it. Here is what I'm happy to be back to.

  • My own bathroom.  No matter how hard I try, I never remember all of my beauty products. Plus, I hate how hotel towels never smell like fabric softener.  I love fabric softener.
  • My own bed.  This might seem obvious, but it's not just my bed.  It's all my stuffed animals, and my blankets, and my kitties.
  • The prettiest part of spring has still yet to come!  Everything is about to blossom, and being gone for a week makes warm weather that much closer.  Sunshiney weather *has* to be right around the corner.
  • Seeing my family and friends.  Duh.  Even if you're not gone long enough to really get homesick, it's still such a great feeling to see the ones you love after being away.
  • Cooking.  I will be cooking nothing but vegetable for the next month I swear, due to the fact that I ate enough to feed a small country on my vacation.  Far too many quesadillas, escargots, and tequila shots.  Detox time.
