Oh, Summer, Whereart Thou?

Some photos  don’t need any explanation.  This is one of them.

But, I am going to ask summer to hurry up and get here.

Have A Whimsical Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's day to all my wonderful readers!  Here's hoping your day is filled with all the stuff that makes Valentine's day so sweet. This has always been a holiday I've enjoyed, whether I've been single or not and I think it's because something about love is very magical.  When I stumbled upon these illustrations by Jessie Marion King, I found that they embodied a sort of romantic charm that fit perfectly with Valentine's Day.  The Scottish artist's work was published mainly in children's books and although there is something inherently innocent about these paintings, they are complex enough that I don't necessarily find them childish.  The soft colors and woodland scenes are absolutely dreamy, and as crazy as this sounds, I'm completely obsessed with the attire of the women.  The flowy dresses, sparkly veils, and flowered crowns are worthy of any fairy tale.

. Oh, So Pretty .

With wedding planning on my mind, I've been completely drawn to everything romantic.  When I'm not thinking about bouquets and wedding dresses, I'm thinking about being romantic - candlelit dinners, moonlit walks, and lazy evenings consisting of conversation and vino are all I want.  Well, it just so happens Valentino's Spring 2012 line completely satisfies my current craving.  The dresses couldn't be more feminine and the and easy floral prints are the stuff dreams are made of.  I really can't get enough of the dusty rose, powder blue, and subtle silver that seems to highlight this amazing collection.

Penelope and Javier

Answer this - is there a couple on the face of this planet more attractive than Mr. Javier Bardem and Ms. Penelope Cruz?  No.  There is not.  Angie and Brad got nothin' on these two, and in an odd little way I love that they still somehow manage to fly somewhat under the radar.  They have that European charm without seeming pretentious, and they seem so in love, which makes them that much cuter.  I've admired Penelope's style for years now, and Javier is the definition of tall dark and handsome, and seeing the two together is pretty much like a beauty overload.   Check out their amazing style below, and remind me to rent Vicky Christina Barcelona ;)
